William "Tim" Timothy Shaffer

William Timothy Shaffer went to be with his Lord on November 15, 2023, at age 57. Tim was born in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, to William Kenneth Shaffer and Rose Janice Shaffer. He was an attorney who practiced Debt Defense and was passionate about helping others. He was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church in Pensacola, Florida. Before his recent move to Pensacola, he was a longtime member and deacon at Trinity Presbyterian Church of Valparaiso, Florida.

He is survived by his wife, Kristy Carden Shaffer, to whom he was married on November 27, 1992. He is survived by two children, Sarah Rachel (Kyle) Waldron and Christopher Ripken (Brittany) Shaffer. He is survived by three grandchildren, Gwendolyn Ray Shaffer, Daphne Eden Shaffer, and Amelia Rose Waldron. He is also survived by his brother Christopher Shaffer, sister-in-law April Shaffer, and niece Elizabeth Shaffer of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. In death he was reunited with his father and mother.

Tim is remembered by his many friends and family for his sense of humor. Always able to crack a joke, he could bring a smile to everyone's face when no one else could. He enjoyed bluegrass concerts, vacations to the Caribbean, and spending time in his rocking chair on his porch. He loved to work on his photography, with his animals and his grandchildren being among his favorite subjects. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, his memory will be cherished by generations to come.

Tim served God tirelessly and lived a life devoted to him. His family rests in the comfort that Tim is at peace with his Heavenly Father. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Tim's favorite charity.

A Memorial Service will be held on November 18, 2023, at 3:00 PM, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 44 Southview Avenue, Valparaiso, FL.
