Apostle/Dr. Ronald Wayne White, age 74, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida entered into his heavenly ministry on September 25, 2025. He was born October 8, 1950 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Mary Gladys and John White, Jr.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Barbara Gibson and Katrina Pickles, and one brother David White. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Elaine White; one sister, Cathy Marion; one brother Roger (Dianne) White; two daughters: Tessie (William) Vandermate and Jenny (Ben) Barton; 4 grandchildren: Racheal (Justin) Tucker, Tyler Vandermate, Josie Barton, and Rilee Justice. In addition, he has three great-granddaughters: Kaydence, Harleigh Jo, and Skylar as well as 17 nieces and nephews and numerous extended members of his physical and spiritual family.
Wayne was a 1968 graduate of Walton High School and proudly supported WHS Sports throughout his adult life. He was a Little League baseball coach and later he voluntarily emceed WHS football games for 21 years as well as airing the games from Walton County on the TV station he started, TV24 Hometown Television. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and also riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with friends, taking numerous trips across the United States.
Wayne’s entire life was devoted to ministering the gospel of His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He and his wife traveled the globe ministering in over 16 countries and building churches on three different continents, with his home base being in DeFuniak Springs. In his early days of ministry he was a member of a singing group known as The Hallelujah Singers and began pastoring in 1977 in Walton County. Wayne recorded four albums of his singing while evangelizing the gospel in addition to writing one book and earning his Doctorate of Divinity degree. He founded World Evangelism Outreach Church and transitioned Pastoring to his son, Ben, of what is now Life Changers Church International. His contributions to the Kingdom of God and the friends and connections he had all over the globe are vast and widespread. He knew someone in every state and he always knew the best places to eat no matter where you wanted to travel. Family was his most important treasure, and he loved to spend time with ALL of them.
Memorial services will be held at McDonald Family Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 30th at 2:00PM with visitation following. Flowers will be accepted, or donations can be made to: Life Changers Church International Missions Fund (lifechangersdfs.com) or Bibles donated to Gideons International (gideons.org) in his honor.
