With hearts filled with sorrow and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Robin Elizabeth Pieper Gunson, age 60, who entered the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 21, 2026.

Born in Titusville, Florida, and raised in Arcadia, Florida, Robin was a remarkable woman whose life was a testament to faith, courage, strength, and unconditional love. With her joyful spirit, welcoming smile, and genuine kindness, Robin truly never met a stranger.

Alongside her beloved husband, Dr. Christopher Gunson, DVM, Robin owned and operated Taft Street Veterinary Clinic for 27 years, caring for animals and serving their community with compassion and dedication.

Throughout her courageous battle with stage IV breast cancer, Robin demonstrated extraordinary grace and unwavering faith in God. Through her heartfelt Facebook posts, she shared her journey and testimony, inspiring countless people with her strength, hope, and steadfast trust in Jesus Christ.

Robin embraced life with gratitude, finding joy in everyday moments and reminding those around her that each day was a precious gift. She was a beloved sister, treasured friend, and source of immeasurable love. The lifelong bond she shared with her sister Mary Hope was one of friendship, devotion, and cherished memories.

Robin was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Christopher Gunson, DVM; her parents, Roy Arthur Pieper and Wanda Worley Pieper; her sister, Barbara Pieper Burr; and her brothers, Jamie Pieper and Robert Pieper.

She is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Debbie Pieper Rimes and Mary Hope Pieper Lancaster; brother-in-law, Bob Burr; nieces and nephews, Melissa Burr Woodcock, Darrill Rimes, Dawn Rimes, Linda Rimes Athey, Bryan Householder, and Matthew Lancaster; along with Autumn Lancaster, Ames Teller Lancaster, extended family, and countless friends.

Although our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort knowing Robin is resting in the eternal presence of the Savior she loved so dearly. Her legacy lives on through the faith she shared, the lives she touched, and the love she leaves behind.

Robin fought the good fight, finished her race, and kept the faith.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”

2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)
