Robert "Rob" Earl Hight, Jr.

Robert “Rob” Earl Hight, Jr, age 58, of Webb City, Missouri, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 28, 2023, in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

He was born in Joplin, Missouri on April 16, 1965, to parents Robert Earl Hight, Sr, and Freda Dodson (Eli).

Having moved to Florida for work, Rob truly embraced the Southern life.  He loved football, especially his favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs.  In his free time, he could be found fishing, hunting, or cooking.  He took advantage of every opportunity to get outdoors.

Rob married Melissa Rangnow on June 20, 2008.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Freda Dodson, and his father, Robert Hight, Sr.

Rob is survived by his wife, Melissa Hight of Parsons, KS, his brother, Richard Hight (Sarah) and sister Peggy Hight (Mike) – both of Webb City, KS, three children - Danyelle Hight of Carl Junction, MO, Crystal Oesterreich (Robert) of Parsons, KS, and Alan Rangnow (Whitney) of TN, and two grandchildren – Sarah and John Rangnow of Parsons, KS.  He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Rob will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

The family will schedule a memorial service at a future time.
