Robert "Bobby" Lee Blanchard

September 17, 1953 — November 9, 2025

Defuniak Springs

Robert Lee Blanchard “Bobby” was born September 17, 1953 in New Orleans, LA to parents William Earl and Lillian Louraine Blanchard. Bobby passed away at his home in DeFuniak Springs on November 9, 2025.

Bobby was at home on the water. He loved to reminisce about his days growing up hunting and fishing on the Louisiana bayous. After purchasing his first boat when he was only 14 years old, he could always be found out shrimping after school and on weekends. He loved the bayous and the ability to help his mom brought him joy. Bobby never got too far from the water and never let much time pass without getting out to enjoy it.

In his later years, he was happiest spending time with his longtime love, Pat, at the camp and on the river. Playing guitar, singing, and helping friends with projects were also things Bobby greatly enjoyed.

He leaves behind his love Patricia Bates, daughter Stacey Culotta, grandson C.J. Blanchard, great-granddaughter Jazmynn Foster, brother George “Buddy” Blanchard, sisters Betty Van Meter, Peggy Barrois, Carol Ray, Joan Hebert, Remonia Cognevich, and Cindy Hebert.

He was preceded in death by his son Christopher L. Foster, father William Earl Blanchard, mother Lillian Louraine Blanchard, Billy “Jr” Blanchard, Iona Falgout, Linda Hebert, Deborah Waters, and Cathy Dominque.

He was a dear friend to many, and he will be greatly missed.
