Reba Anderson Glidewell

Biography

Mrs. Reba Anderson Glidewell, age 75, a lifelong resident of Walton County passed away suddenly Saturday, January 26, 2013 in Healthmark Regional Medical Center. She was born February 28, 1937 in the Caney Creek Community of North Walton County, the daughter of Daniel Oscar Anderson and Esther Gill Anderson. Overcoming polio at age 16, Reba attended Walton County public schools graduating from Walton High School with the Class of 1955. She worked for the Supervisor of Elections from 1976 until 2012. Most will remember Reba in her many years of employment with the Walton County Health Department. She was an avid fan of Southern gospel music and was a member of the Caney Creek Traveling Choir, singing all over North Florida and South Alabama. Reba Glidewell was a devoted Christian, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is predeceased by her husband, Paul E. Glidewell, a daughter, Patricia Gail Glidewell and her sisters Betty Solomon and Diane Gray.

Among survivors are her son Danny Glidwell and wife Theresa. Her daughter, Cindy Katsetos and husband Mike of Punta Gorda. Her sister-in-law Yvonne Glidewell of Orlando, Florida. Her brothers-in-law Jack Moore, Randy Gray of Gordo, Alabama. Seven grandchildren, Brian, Holly, Lindsey, Kayla, Ashton, Thomas and James also survive.

Floral arrangements are being accepted or memorials may be made in Reba Glidwell’s memory to First Baptist Church Pregnacy Center or PreSchool. A time of visitation will be Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 1 P.M. until 2 P.M. in First Baptist Church with the funeral beginning at 2:00 P.M. in the church with Reverend Bobby Tucker and Reverend Raymond Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Caney Creek Cemetery.
