OUIDA DAVIDSON COFFEY

Mrs. Ouida Davidson Coffey, age 88 passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019 in North Okaloosa Medical Center.  She was born August 24, 1930 in Jay, Florida the daughter of Alonzo Hart Davidson and Ida Eliza Singletary Davidson.  After her father’s passing, the family was blessed with step father, Dan Holland to continue raising them.  Most will remember Mrs. Coffey as co-owner of Coffey’s Store, a Walton County Landmark she ran with her husband for many years.  From the union of Ouida and her husband Harvey a large extended family survives.  She is predeceased by her parents, loving and devoted husband of 55 years, Harvey, her sons, Doyle and Kenneth and a granddaughter Kimberly Russell, her sister, Virlon Diamond and three brothers, Clarence, Buel and Hartley Davidson.

Among survivors are her daughters, Carrol (Johnnie) Shaw, Joyce (Wade) Farmer, son, Greg (Penny) Coffey.  Her grandchildren, Ron (Robin), Danny (Della), Roger Dale (Kelly), Jessica (Billy), Mike (Jenna), Shelia (Chris), Kevin (Tori), Kelby (Melanie, Marty (Jennifer), Jennie (Kyle), Paul (Madison), Dylan, Rebecca) and James (Candice).  Thirty-five great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren, her brother, Aaron (Robbie) Holland and sister-in-law Muriel (Bob) also survive.

Floral arrangements are being accepted.  The family extends special thanks to the staff of Hall # 3 at Crestview Rehab and Nursing Home for the genuine loving care they provided their mother during her stay there.  A time of visitation will be Monday, June 10, 2019 from 10 until 11 A.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel with the funeral beginning at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Thomas Ealum and Dr. Charles Lennard officiating.  Burial will follow in Clear Springs Cemetery.
