Milton L. Johnson of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, son of Luther and Mildred Johnson, was born on September 11, 1940 in Forest Park, Georgia and passed on June 11, 2015 in DeFuniak Springs at the age of 74 years. Milton grew up in Forest Park, Georgia and graduated from Forest Park High School, Georgia Institute of Technology, and received a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Georgia State University. He was employed with the Federal Aviation Administration in Atlanta, Georgia for 34 years and taught part-time at Clayton State College in Morrow, Georgia. He married the former Brenda Clayton in 1962 and to this union was two children; Cheryl and David. He married Carol Johnston in 1974. Milton retired and moved to DeFuniak Springs in 2002. He belonged to the FUMC and was a member of the Busy Men’s Sunday School Class. He enjoyed walking his dogs around Lake DeFuniak each day.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carol; daughter, Cheryl Etherington (John) of Atlanta, Georgia; son, David Johnson (Krystina) of Palmer, Alaska; step-son Danny Duncan (Pamela) of Jackson, Georgia; sister, Marie Foster of McDonough, Georgia; sister, Frieda Dyer of Cullman, Alabama; brother, Henry Johnson (Virginia) of Griffin, Georgia, and special grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

There will be no flowers. Memorials be made in Milton L. Johnson’s memory to First United Methodist Church of DeFuniak Springs. Funeral Service will held Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in First United Methodist Church, 88 Circle Drive, DeFuniak Springs, Florida with Dr. Larry Teasley officiating, Private family interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
