Mariea Creamer, age 68, long time resident of DeFuniak Springs passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in Chautauqua Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born September 30, 1945 in St. Cloud, Florida the daughter of James Ferris and Leslie Viola Archibald Ferris. Mariea graduated from Holyoke High School in Massachusetts in 1963. After graduating high school she followed her military family to the DeFuniak Springs area where she made her home. She became an accomplished professional, holding both a cosmethologist and Realtor's license. She found her true calling as a dispatcher for the Florida State Foresty Department until she could no longer work because of health issues. Privately she was a talanted artist, especially enjoying wood-burning. An enthusiastic computer buff, Mariea was active in the local computer club and Senior Center and was an advocate for technology to many in the community.
Among survivors are her daughter Robin Langford and husband David. Her grandsons, Xander and Wyatt and her long time friend Barbara Porter also survive.
