Malcolm "Skip" Young

Malcolm Young, Jr, better known as Skip, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama on September 2, 1958, to parents Malcolm Young, Sr and Bonnie Lee Powell.

Skip worked in construction for all of his years. In his free time, he was always up for adventure, and he most thoroughly enjoyed camping and cave diving. Becoming a friend of Skip’s was a gift that lasted for life – once you became friends, Skip counted you a friend forever.

Skip is survived by his wife Michelle, sons Brian, Alex, and Kyle, sister Sky, niece Katie, and nephew Caleb. He is preceded in death by his parents Malcolm and Bonnie Young, and siblings Debbie, Leigh, and Barbara.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
