Lorene Pryor

Miss Lorene Pryor, affectionately known as “Aunt Rene”, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in Daytona Beach, Florida while visiting with her sister, Juanita Nelson. She was born in Walton County, Florida on February 4, 1933, the daughter of the late Arnie Pryor, Jr. and Martha Pryor. Lorene graduated from Walton County High School and moved to Jacksonville and attended Jones Business School. She retired as an administrative assistance with Independent Life Insurance Company. Lorene loved shopping, especially with her sisters. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marcelle Suggs and brother, Arnie Pryor, Sr. and is survived by her sister: Juanita Nelson; sister-in-law: Elsie Pryor and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Peeples Family Funeral Homes, 2220 Soutel Drive near Lem Turner Road with Rev. Steve McCollum, officiating. Her family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 8, 2017 in Limestone Cemetery with Reverend Terry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Pryor Family Plot in Limestone Cemetery
