Kenneth George May Sr., age 68, passed away on December 31, 2023.  He was born on July 15, 1955 in DeFuniak Springs, FL to Kenneth Paul and Iva Jean Nowling May.

Mr. May was a resident of DeFuniak Springs.  He was LDS by faith and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in DeFuniak Springs.  He was a devoted father and grandfather.  He was a military police and a law enforcement officer for many years.  He loved hunting, fishing, and farming.  He enjoyed researching genealogy, making jams and preserves, and baking and cooking.  He also enjoyed and was an avid fan of Alabama football.  In his youth, Kenneth enjoyed playing football and loved watching his sons and grandsons follow in his footsteps and play football also.

Mr. May was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Iva Jean and a sister, Leslie White.

He is survived by his wife Marylon Couch May, his sons Kenneth George May, Jr., Kendal William May (fiancé Natasha Mitchell), Keenan Nathanael May (Keeley), and his daughter Brandi May.  He leaves behind a beautiful legacy in his grandchildren Atticus, Kaesen, Kapreigh, Paxton, Katherine, Emory, Rowan, and Kieran.  He is also survived by: his brother William Alec May, brother-in-law Erick White, sister Paula Blanchard (Ryck), sisters-in-law Diane Couch and Sue Couch, nephews Joren White, Leif White, William P.T. May, Harper May, Ryan Blanchard, Paul Langley, nieces Laurel Avery, Linda White, Lira Smith, Shannon Sanchez, Samantha May, Taylor May, and Lyndsey Henderson, and cousins Guy Anderson, Bryce Anderson, Chad Anderson, Sandy Anderson, and Kelly.

Celebration of life service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 11:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in DeFuniak Springs with Bishop Eric Ramsey officiating.  The family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00am.

Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
