Biography

Mrs. Joyce Ann Freeman Sunday, age 56 of Glendale passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008 in Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. She was born December 10, 1951 in Cullman, Alabama the daughter of Talmadge Howard Freeman and Lucy Bagwell Freeman. She attended Cullman public schools and after raising her children moved to DeFuniak Springs where she met and married Billy Ray Sunday in 1995. Joyce loved crafts but her main love was fishing. She was a fan of the Hallmark channel and never missed an episode of Little House. She also like the SciFi channel. According to her family she was an excellent cook and smothered fried potatoes and homemade “cathead” bisquits were her speciality.

Among survivors are her husband, Billy Ray Sundayof Glendale. Her children, Tabitha Forehand and husband Luther and her son Johnnie Williamson all of PoncedeLeon. Her stepson, Stevie Sunday and wife Joyce of Pt. Washington. Hr stepdaughters Penny Lee Farmer and Greg Coffee of New Harmony and Sandy Manning and husband Tommy of DeFuniak Springs. Her brothers, Jimmy Ray Freeman and wife Dianne of Munson and James Freeman and Julie Floyd of PoncedeLeon. Her brother-in-law David Edgar Sunday of PoncdeLeon and her Mother-in-law Esther Sunday of Glendale. Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.

Floral arrangements are being accepted. A time of visitation will be at the church one hour prior to funeral time. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
