Johnnieray Wesley Barnes, Sr

Mr. Johnnieray Wesley Barnes, Sr. age 62 passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 in Healthmark Regional Medical Center. He was born June 5, 1952 in DeFuniak Springs, the son of Johnnie Wesley Barnes and Mable Steekins Barnes. Mr. Barnes was an automotive mechanic and most will remember him in his early employment with “Strick” at Strickland’s Garage.

Among survivors are his wife, Jeanne Clark Barnes. His children, Kimberly, Tiffany and Jay and wife Samantha. Eight grandchildren, Kayla, Sona, Jayden, Madalyn, Hailey, Allesha, Isabella and Emma. His brothers, William and wife Sue, Wesley and wife Dorothy and Bobby and wife Joyce. His sisters, Ilene and husband Early, Polly and husband Dexter, Melissa and Rosa and husband Don. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Floral arrangements are being accepted. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 12, 2014 in Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church with the funeral beginning at 2 P.M. in the church with Reverend Benjamin Gavins officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
