John Raymond Reinhart, Jr.

John Raymond Reinhart, Jr. was born on December 1, 1966 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to John Raymond Reinhart, Sr and Avilda Sylvia Reinhart. He attended Jenks schools in Oklahoma and went to college at Middle Tennessee State University. After years in Oklahoma, John called Nashville, TN home for a while before moving to Santa Rosa Beach in Florida. A childhood in Oklahoma created a lifelong OU fan, and he always cheered “Boomer Sooner”! He passed away on September 6, 2026.

In his young adulthood, John most cherished the times spent fishing with his father, “Senior”, and he was honored when he was able to become a paid bass fishing guide for him in Mexico. Love of fishing stayed with him for his entire life. He loved both saltwater and freshwater fishing, and it was undeniably how he chose to spend as much of his time as possible.

His fishing hobby resulted in some of the best stories that will be shared about him and his sunken boats. John’s adventures on the water led to almost every one the boats he owned ending up on the bottom of a body of water - from the Destin Pass to the lakes of Mexico. Another favorite memory of him that his family loves is when he, as a child around 5 years old, was scratched by the family cat and he innocently declared “the cat thought I pulled his tail”.

John’s most proud moments were the births of his children and being a father and then creating his business and watching his employees grow and succeed. His family was his world. He loved his children fiercely and did all that he could for them every step of their lives. He also loved his dog, Rocky. Rocky could always be found wherever John was.

John is survived by his children: Barbara Anne Reinhart, Olivia Faye Reinhart, and Steven John Reinhart, former spouse Jordan Olivia Reinhart, mother Avilda Sylvia Reinhart (“Ms. Billy”), siblings Laura Wirkus (Ed) and Tami Reinhart (Jessica Henshaw), nieces and nephews: Tony Wirkus, Jackie Wirkus, Shawn Wirkus, Jaelyn Henshaw, Jace Henshaw, and Eden Henshaw. He also leaves behind aunts and uncles: Nadine, DeDe, David, Ricky, Irene, and their spouses, along with numerous cousins.

He is predeceased by his father John Raymond Reinhart (“Senior”) and brother Steven John Reinhart.

A great father to his 3 children, one of a kind, solid morals, hardworking, huge hearted, a modern-day John Wayne type - these are the ways John will be remembered. Stories of him and his life will continue to put smiles on the faces of his family and friends for many years to come. A life lived that will not be forgotten.
