John William Herndl

John William Herndl passed away at his home on December 22, 2025, with his wife and son at his side. 

John lived his life quietly, generously, and fairly.  Providing for and taking care of his family and his business was his greatest pride.  He loved the challenge of taking discarded things and making them work again, finding satisfaction in patience, skill, and perseverance.

He enjoyed gardening with his wife, always teasing her about her flowers with the reminder "you can't eat those."  He cherished time spent fishing when his son was home on leave from the Army, and, above all, John was his family's steady, quiet rock - always present, always dependable. 

John is survived by his wife, Laurie Herndl; his son, Garrett Herndl; his parents, Bill and Carol Herndl; his sister, Sandra Herndl; and his brother, Michel Herndl (Lily).  He is also survived by his closest cousin Randy Harris (Sherri), his closest uncle Terry Zokvic (Louisa), along with numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

John will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his quiet strength, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
