James Lamar Ammons

Mr. James Lamar Ammons, age 64 of Mossy Head passed away September 18, 2012 due to complications of an automobile accident the previous Friday. He was born July 4, 1948 in Andalusia, Alabama the son of Bunny and Mattie Ruth Howell Ammons. He served his country with the United States Army. After his tour of duty ended he worked in auto body repair in shops from Niceville to Crestview. Lamar is predeceased by his parents and his wife Joyce Ammons.

Among survivors are his son Larry Ammons and wife Katie. His daughter Samatha Ammons and his son Scott Ammons. His Mother-In-Law, Lois Harris and a daughter-in-law Laresa Avant and husband Ryan. Six grandchildren, Christina, Amber, William, Robert Earl, Annanell and Garrett. One great grandson, Tyson also survives.

Floral arrangements are being accepted. Graveside services will be held at
10:00 A.M. Monday, September 24, 2012 with Reverend Bill Ferrand officitaing.
Burial will follow in the Ammon's Family Plot in Mossy Head Cemetery.
