Helen Joyce Simmons Jones

Mrs. Helen Joyce Jones, age 80, was a woman whose life reflected the love of Christ in everything she did. Her kindness, her steady faith, and her gentle spirit touched every person who was blessed enough to know her. She lived with a quiet grace that made others feel seen, cared for, and prayed over. She was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ her entire life, and she loved her church family dearly.

Helen Joyce loved deeply and gave freely. Her home was warm, her smile reassuring, and her heart always open. She carried God’s Word close, and she lived it out through compassion, forgiveness, and unwavering hope.

She is survived by her only child Penny Lee Jones, grandsons Phillip Chase Toole with wife Jessika and Robby Bowers, granddaughters Kelsey Helen Bowers with fiancé Justin and Britany Bowers with spouse Jason, as well as her adored great-grandchildren, Destiny, Kenny, Layknn’, Jaycee, Leland, Remy and Silas. She also leaves behind brothers Tommy and Johnny Simmons and their wives, nephews David Simmons and Danny Simmons, as well as many cousins and other beloved members of her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Benny and Edna Simmons, her husband of 44 years Richard Allen Jones, brothers Bill and Royce Simmons, and son in law Gary Bowers.

Though her absence leaves a deep ache, we rest in the promise that she is now in the presence of her Savior—whole, joyful, and wrapped in eternal peace. And while we grieve, we do not grieve without hope. One day, by God’s grace, we will see her again.
