Gloria Faye Anderson-Hollingsworth was born February 9, 1935, the daughter of Walter Webb and Mary Elizabeth Jackson, in Pensacola, Florida. She passed away on April 20, 2026.

Gloria began her work career at Creel Ford Company, then Eglin Air Force Base, E.I. du Pont Company, and Richmond Tank Car Company. She then attended and graduated from The University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in 1975 and a Master of Education in 1982. Her teaching career began at Richbourg, Jr High School in 1975, and she retired from Freeport Elementary school in 1996.  She was a lifelong Methodist. 

While she had many hobbies, including bridge, her main interest was spending time with and making memories with her family. She married Ernest (Sonny) Hollingsworth in 1987, and they shared over 30 happy years together and treasured their wonderful extended family until his passing in 2020.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, John (Mac) McDonald Anderson in 1981 and her second husband, Ernest (Sonny) Hollingsworth in 2020, and siblings Walter Jackson, Martha Moseley, Mary Lydia Bingham, and Lavon Jackson.

She leaves behind children: Dr. Walter John Anderson and wife Afshan, Brenda Faye Rees and husband Lane, Charles Wilson Anderson and wife Maribel; step-children: Ernest Mike Hollingsworth and wife Lind, Rebecca Ann (Becky) Hollingsworth, Nancy Wong and husband Peter, Martha Posey and husband Terry; grandchildren David, Derek, Ashley, Brian, Lauren, Heather, and Haley; great-grandchildren Tabbi, Bella, Leighton, Summer, Audrey, Pierce and Everett, and Mitchell and Charley; step grandchildren Sean, Ethan, Justin, Jill, Anna, Daniel, Joanna, and Neal; and several great-great grandchildren.
