Eric Christopher Henderson

Mr. Eric Christopher Henderson, age 62 passed away Sunday, November
9, 2014 in a Crestview healthcare facility. He was born May 31, 1952 in DeFuniak Springs, the son of Louis Neil J. Henderson and Geraldine Wainwright Henderson. After graduation from Walton High School with the Class of 1970 Eric served his country with the United States Army. He then joined his father in the construction business, eventually working his way up to Superintendent, a job he held until his retirement. He married Mary Lewis Henderson July 30, 1999 and lived in the Teelinville subdivision of DeFuniak Springs. Eric loved fishing and hunting and watched Nascar. He spent time gardening and always had time for friends and family and whomever would stop to chat a while. His favorite times were those he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Among survivors are his Mother, Geraldine W. Henderson. His stepson, Wesley Wilkerson and wife Angela. His granddaughters, Samatha K. Wilkerson and Kristina G. Wilkerson. His sister, Charlotte Hofstetter, his brother Larrid Henderson and wife Ann, His brother-in-law Stanley X. Lewis, Jr. His nieces and nephews, Melissa Kersting and husband Michael, Melanie Dickerson and husband Josh, Todd Hoffstetter and wife Jiuli and Shaun Hoffstetter and wife Rhinna and Ashley Hill and husband.

Those asked to serve as pallbearers are Lavonne McMilliam, Johnny Foxhall, Jerry
Cosson, Rusty Gainey, Ronnie Gainey, Jim Cosson. David Thomas and Glenn Teves. Floral arrangements are being accepted or memorials may be made in Eric Henderson’s Memory to the Children’s Department of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 12, 2014 in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with the funeral beginning at 11:00 A.M. in the church with Brother Mahlon LeCroix and Brother Phil McMillian officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
