Denise Cynthia "Missy" Higgins-Nelson

Missy Nelson, age 56, long time resident of Ponce deLeon, Florida passed away suddenly Friday, February 28, 2014 at her home. She was born July 18, 1957 in Mt. Pleasant, New Jersey the oldest daughter of Richard Francis Higgins, Sr. and Ramona Alice Wardell Higgins. She eventually moved to Walton County, Florida where she lived out the last years of her life happy and peaceful. Missy was a very nurturing, caring “free spirit” who loved life, loved music, and loved loudly.

Among survivors are her loving companion, Joe Nelson. Her daughter, Tanya R. Haskett. Her son, Luis F. Rodrigues, Jr., her grandson Artimus J. Haskett; her siblings, Christine, Iris Ann, John, Thomas, Richard and Michael and many family and friends.

Her family celebrated her life privately and she will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
