Dearon Thomas Carroll

Mr. Dearon Carroll, age 87 of DeFuniak Springs, passed away at his residence Friday, March 11, 2016. He was born December 12, 1928 in DeFuniak Springs, one of nine children of James Edward Carroll and Hattie Scott Carroll. After completing high school Dearon served his country in the United States Army, a veteran of both the Korean Conflict and the Viet Nam Crisis. He is predeceased by his parents, and his siblings, Dallas, Millie and Lloyd.

Among survivors are his brothers, Billy and wife Betty, and Doug. His sisters, Mallie, Myrtle and Peggy. His sisters-in-law Kathlene and Evelyn and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Floral arrangements are being accepted or memorials may be made in Dearon Carroll's memory to Southwide Baptist Church. A time of visitation will be Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel with the funeral beginning at 11:00 A.M. with Chaplain Jeff Carlton officiating. Military graveside honors will follow in Limestone Cemetery.
