DANT'E LAMAR WEST

Mr. Dant’e Lamar West, age 24 passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in Healthmark Regional Medical Center.  He was born February 14, 1995 in Los Angeles, California the son of Alicia Lenika Slaughter and Malcolm Clay West.  He graduated from Santa Monica High School and received his AA Degree from Santa Monica College.  Dant’e had a love for technology and an understanding of the gaming industry where he was employed as a Gaming Beta Tester.  He was a World Wide Gamer, playing opponents from all over the world.  He loved his family, his friends and his constant companions, Sonny and Charlie, his cats.  All through life, Dant’e was known for his quick wit and his intelligence, even from a young age, his mom was advised by teachers that he excelled in intelligence.  Dant’e was a writer and often times wrote his mom poems on Mother’s Day and on her birthday.

Among survivors are his mother, Alicia Slaughter, his grandmother, Felicia Slaughter of DeFuniak Springs and is uncles, Dennis Slaughter and Daniel Slaughter and wife Angela.
