Mrs. Connie Ashe Chandler, age 61 of DeFuniak Springs passed away July 28, 2017 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She was born June 13, 1956 in Brevard, North Carolina, the daughter of Major and Shirley Holden Ashe. She was a resident of DeFuniak Springs for forty-five years and most will remember her in her association as office manager for eighteen years in a local dental office. She was an avid animal lover, thoroughly enjoyed traveling and loved making desserts for family gatherings. More than anything else “Meme” loved being surrounded by and spoiling her family. She is preceded in death by her father, her Brother Bradley Ashe and three infant sons.
Connie is survived by her mother, Shirley Ashe, her husband David Chandler, her daughters, Lisa Prater and husband Kevin, Myca Harrison and husband Josh, Laura Chandler and Shanna Chandler. Her grandchildren, Cierra Prater, Keaton Prater, Harley Whitman, Shala Thomas, Krysten Cuchens, Trey Troupe and wife Taylor, Tyauna Hill, Trace Robertson and Taryn Williams. Great grandchildren, Asher and Mya Thomas and Titus Troupe. Connie was also survived by her loving “Sistas”, Karen Cummings and husband Jeff, Cindy Anderson and husband Mark, Shirley Legette and husband Keith, Krisy Spence and husband Keith, Vici Chandler and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
Floral arrangements are being accepted. A time of visitation will be Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 6 until 8 P.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel with Brother Doyle Alford officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
