Biography

Carolyn Williams, age 75 has gone to be with our Lord Jesus Christ as our Holy Father called her home Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Born on June 15, 1938. she was the beloved wife of 55 1/2 years to Gene E. Williams, where they built their life in DeFuniak Springs, Florida and were blessed with three children. Throughout her long, full life Carolyn bestowed love and devotion on her husband Gene and loving generosity to her three children, two grandchildren and one great grandson. Carolyn was thoughtful, loving and generous, was always dignified and graceful, easy to laugh and a joy to be around. For all these qualities and too many more to be listed, she will always be lovingly remember and continually missed. While our sorrow at her loss is deep, we know with blissful certainty that with her journey completed Carolyn’s spirit now resided at home in Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ. With great faith and certainty we believe as written by Paul that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”.

Though deeply and profoundly missed by all of us, each of us surviving her celebrate Carolyn’s life. Her loving husband, Gene E. Williams of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; her three children, Sherry Williams, Paula Wisnowski and Steve Williams all of Pensacola, Florida; her three siblings, George Newham, Jr. of Pensacola, Florida, Charles Newham of Birmingham, Alabama and Joanne Dawson of Baltimore, Maryland as well as her grandchildren, Caitlin Echele and Christine Brice and her great grandson,Jonathan Echele, Jr. all of Pensacola, Florida.

Again we celebrate Carolyn’s life and remain eternally grateful for all that she shared with us. God comforts us with His peace, giving us confidence in the knowledge that she is with Him now and that we will one day be reunited with her.
