Carlos Berardo Robaina

Carlos Berardo Robaina passed away on May 14, 2025 at the age of 63. Born in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba on February 5, 1962 to Carlos Eduardo Robaina Perez and Vilma Robaina (Née Sanchez Gonzalez), he emigrated to the United States as a child with his parents and two younger siblings on April 22, 1969. Carlos was raised in New Orleans, LA, and even through time living in other places including Santa Rosa Beach and Orlando, FL, New Orleans was always his eternally beloved city.

He greatly enjoyed the company of his childhood friends who will remember Carlos as an endless jokester, always seeking to make them laugh. Baseball games, collecting baseball cards, watching old western and action movies, tinkering with cars, and hunting wild game with his pals were a few of his favorite things. He also treasured the company of family, especially his nephews and nieces.

Carlos is survived by his mother Vilma Robaina, brother Arian Robaina, Sr (Melba) and sisters Yanil Robaina and Elizabeth Licata (Michael). He also leaves behind an aunt Yolanda Rodriguez, nieces Yarenis Martinez, Carissa Reyes (Roberto), Gianna Brunken (Joshua, Sr), and Melari Robaina, nephews Arian Robaina, Jr, Yanni Robaina, Giovanni Licata, and Marcello Licata, grand nephews and nieces, and many cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Carlos E. Robaina, brother Frank Robaina, as well as uncles, aunts and grandparents.

Carlos’s passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
