Bodie Maddox Fretwell was born to Jeremy and Elaina Fretwell on October 2, 2024, and he lived in DeFuniak Springs with his parents and four older brothers. Bodie left suddenly to be with Jesus on April 9, 2026.
He attended church with his family at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. While his unexpected departure was a surprise to his family and all who loved him, they receive comfort knowing it was not a surprise to their heavenly Father who was ready for Bodie to be with Him.
Bodie lived a fun-filled life. As the youngest of 5 boys, he almost never heard “no,” and he got to do all the things every little boy dreams of - playing outside with the big boys, getting dirty at the ball fields, going to the park with Daddy and climbing on all the things, eating lots of pizza and his mom’s homemade muffins, riding on the golf cart with Julian.
He was full of smiles and joy exuded from him. He brought extra happiness everywhere he went. Entertaining everyone at the ballpark while his older brothers played ball, dancing to Forest Frank songs, or talking about Bluey, Bodie was delightful and he shared his love of living life to the fullest with everyone who crossed his path.
Bodie leaves behind his parents Jeremy and Elaina and his four big brothers, whom he absolutely admired and adored - Julian, Henry, August, and Roman Fretwell.
In the time he was given here on earth, Bodie made an impression that will never be forgotten. The memories of him will be an inspiration to smile, to enjoy the days gifted, to find fun in the ordinary, and to treasure those you love. He will be so greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
