Billy Hutto, Jr, age 59, passed away on July 11, 2024, after a strong fight with cancer. He was born in Dothan, Alabama on August 5, 1964 to Billy and Mary Hutto, and was proud to call DeFuniak Springs home for the past 32 years.
Billy was a dedicated worker, a loving family man, and a ceaseless giver. He worked for many years in agriculture as a chicken farmer, and he was also a talented welder. He loved family and spending time with family was always important to him. Helping friends was another of his priorities. He was an incredibly kind soul who was always willing to put others before himself.
Billy is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Peggy Hutto, stepson John Brown, daughters Theresa Mattraw (Kyle) of Hawaii and KaSandra Ann of Wellborn, Florida, and five grandchildren. He also leaves behind his mother, Mary Hutto, sister Kimberly Enderson (Tiny), and brother Jimmy Hutto - all from Auburndale, Florida. He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Hutto.
True to his giving nature, Billy donated his body to cancer research and continues to be a blessing to many through helping with scientific advance. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Billy will be put to rest at Glendale Nature Preserve at a later date.
