BENJAMIN DAVIS GRANT

Mr. Benjamin Davis Grant, age 72 passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019 in a Crestview healthcare facility.    He was born March 28, 1947 in DeFuniak Springs the son of Juston Witt Grant, Sr. and Lola Doris Davis Grant.  Ben attended Walton schools but completed his last two years in Niceville being a member of the first graduating class from the new Niceville High School in 1966.   In 1974 he and Jean Butler Grant were married and made their home in Niceville.  Ben was employed with NAF on Eglin Air Force Base for over 35 years.  He was an avid fan of the Niceville Eagles and the Florida Gators.  He was a Sunday School teacher for 7th grade boys at First Baptist Church of Niceville for  twenty years.

Among survivors are his children, Melissa Straughn and husband Jessie and his son William Benjamin Grant and wife Bree.  His grandchildren, Emily, Grant, Austin, Dalton, Aiva, Thomas and Benjamin and his brothers, Juston “Bub” Grant, Jr. and  Robert Grant also survive.
