BARBARA BROWN TRIMM

Mrs. Barbara Trimm age 68 passed away at the family residence  Monday evening.  She was born July 1, 1954 in DeFuniak Springs the daughter of Floyd and Lois Wilma Moss Brown.  Barbara attended Walton County Schools and graduated with Walton’s Class of 1972.  The summer after graduation she married her lifelong friend and high school sweetheart.  She worked for a time at Marie’s Hitching Post, a DeFuniak Springs landmark.  After the birth of her son Kenneth, Barbara and her husband were divorced.  She met and married David Trimm when Kenneth was five years old and Barbara began work at San Destin Resort, a position she held for five years until she gained employment with Bluewater Bay, a career choice she kept for twenty eight years until her retirement.  Many will remember Barbara in her association with Bluewater Bay Ladies Golf Association.   Barbara had a zest for life and always remained active in the gardens and flower beds surrounding her home.

Among survivors are her husband David Trimm, her son Kenneth Floyd Rolling, her sister, Wanda Basha and husband George, her sisters-in-law, Paula Bonner and husband John and Patty Benton and husband Jeff.  Her aunts, Babe Moore and Sylvia Moss and Barbara’s trusted friend and companion, Lily, the family dog.
