Mrs. Barbara Ann Sasnett Bruhn, age 50 died unexpectedly Sunday Morning, November 5, 2017 at the family residence. She was born June 28, 1967 in Chipley, Florida, the daughter of Paul Wilson Sasnett and Lowreane Simmons Sasnett. She graduated from Ponce deLeon High School with the Class of 1987. As a single mom she found employment at Hardees in Bonifay as the morning biscuit maker, but later found more local work as cashier in Tom Thumb in Ponce deLeon where she worked for some 14 years and where she met her future husband, who made weekly deliveries of milk to the store. She and Dalton were married in 2001 and in that same year Ann found employment in a dietary position at the Cope Center on 331 South, a job she kept until ill health forced her retirement. Ann had a love for beauty in nature and loved roses, and used her dietary skills in creating beautiful birthday and wedding cakes which she took pride in decorating. In her idle time she followed, with her husband, The Young and Restless on afternoon television eventually converting him as a loyal and faithful fan of the show, something, to this day he does not readily admit. Always a friend, the family dog, “Tater” was by Ann’s side to the very end. Ann and Dalton were part of the fellowship of Westville Assembly of God Church.
Ann is predeceased by her mother and her grandaughter, Gabriella Ann and her father-in-law Charles Bruhn. Among survivors are her husband, Dalton Adam Bruhn, her father, Paul Sasnett, her daughters, Destiny Sasnett and Tiffany Bruhn. Her sisters, Annette Sasnett, Annie Bell Davis and husband Terry and Velma Sasnett. Her nieces Dakota Arnold and husband Peter, Reid Davis and Taylor Sasnett and her companion and friend, Tater, the family dog who Ann claimed as her own.
Floral arrangements are being accepted. Those asked to serve as pallbearers are Danny Price, Peter Arnold, Brannon Newsome, Josh Jackson, Bradley Sasnett and David Brannon. A time of visitation will be Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel with the funeral beginning at 11 A.M. with Reverend Larry Sweat assisted by Reverend Ike Stevenson. Burial will follow in the Sasnett Family Plot in Westville Cemetery.
