Mr. Arnie Pryor, Jr. age 81 of Gaskin passed away Tuesday morning, January 17, 2017 at the family residence. He was born December 18, 1935 in Gaskin, the son of Arnie Pryor, Sr. and Martha Palestine Morrison Pryor. After attending school, he had different jobs but most will remember him in his employment with the Walton County Board of County Commissioners, District 2, as a Road Foreman, first under Sam Pridgen and then under Kenneth Pridgen for a combined total employment of some thirty years until retirement. Junior always worked on his farm, no matter what his job was even after retirement. . He was a member of Limestone Baptist Church for over 75 years and a member of Paxton Lodge # 341 F&AM. He is predeceased by his parents and a sister Marcelle Suggs.

Among survivors are his wife Elsie Danley Pryor. His sons, Keith Pryor and wife Pat and Stephen Pryor and wife Charlotte. His sisters, Juanita Nelson and Lorene Pryor. Grandchildren, Christopher and Kelsy and Sierra and Alisha. Five great grandchildren, Summer, Gavin, Maylee, Jayden and Noah. His sisters-in-law, Linda Powell, Audrey Hobbs and husband Clarence, Ellie Godwin and husband Billy Joe; his brothers-in-law, Jessie Danley and Debbie and Jack Danley also survive.

Floral arrangments are being accepted. Those asked to serve as pallbearers are Kevin Wilkerson, Henry Gainey, Ernie Montgomery, Wilmer Stafford, Ronnie Ard and Kenneth Pridgen. Honorary pallbearers include Robert Wilkerson, Christopher Pryor, Michael Condurelis, Frank Ward, Jack DAnley and Jessie Danley.
A time of visitation will be Friday, January 20, 2017 from 6 until 8 P.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel with Reverend Barry Joiner and Reverend Terry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Limestone Cemetery with Masonic Honors.
