Arline (Lottie) Gavin

Arline D. Gavin (Lottie), age 90 of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 in North Okaloosa Medical Center. She was born April 6, 1926 in Buffalo, North Dakota to Arthur S. and Meta D. Berg. Gavin. She attended school in Wheatland, Tower City, Fargo and Buffalo, North Dakota. She graduated in 1944 and moved to DeFuniak Springs in 1991. Mrs. Gavin had been employed as a medical insurance secretary at various hospitals, medical offices and she retired from Tanner Memorial Clinic in Layton, Utah after nineteen years of service. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Niceville, Florida.

Survivors include her husband, Thearon, her sister Vivian Irmschur, her sisters-in-law, Adilene Alford and Ruth Alford. Numerous nieces and nephews and Bindi, the ten pound family poodle also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Arline Gavin’s memory to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 13007 East John Sims Parkway, Niceville, Florida. Services will be held in Lerud Schuldt Funeral Home, 515 Central North, Valley City, North Dakota 58072 at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 26, 2016. Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.
