April Dawn Ogilvie-Rose

April Dawn Ogilvie-Rose passed away unexpectedly on May 26, 2024.  She was born on September 18, 1967, to William Randolph and Ora Lee Ogilvie. 

Growing up near orange groves April Dawn loved the memories of picking oranges with her brothers and cousins.  In more recent years she spent time cooking, tanning, playing online casino games, and making gift baskets.

Some of her favorite things were her grandchildren, old country music, and the mountains.  Becoming a Granny was among her proudest accomplishments, and she treasured being a Granny more than anything - demonstrating this in her willingness to step up to raise three of her grandkids. 

April will be remembered for so many things.  While she was often stubborn, it was outweighed by the way she cared for people, worked hard, and was quick to make new friends.  She loved being surrounded by family, and she loved laughing and making others laugh as well.

She leaves behind a son, Kevin Ray Rose, Jr and daughters Kandi LeeAnn Rose and Chelsea Charlene Scott, her grandchildren Kevin Rose III, Lilly Rose, Paislee Rose, Laynie Trammell, Liam Scott, Luna Scott, and Westin Trammel, and her partner Anthony “Tony” Pittman. 

She is preceded in death by her parents William Randolph Ogilvie, Sr. and Ora Lee Lingerfelt Ogilvie, and brothers William Randolph Ogilvie, Jr. and Walter Scott Ogilvie.  

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 3:00pm at McDonald Family Funeral Home.
