Abbie Lynn Ingram Jones, 84, passed on February 6. 2023. She was born in
DeFunlak Springs on June 11, 1938, to Sterling Dixon and Altha Bell (McDonald) Ingram.
She was a talented interior designer, skilled seamstress/upholsterer, and
masterful decorator. All of these talents were quite evident in the score of lovely homes
designed and decorated by her. She enjoyed making ordinary things pretty and
made her home her personal showroom. If she was not in her workroom, you
could find her working in her flower beds and tending to her yard. She had an
undying love for family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ford Bo Jones, her sister
Doris Ledbetter, and her brothers Clinton Ingram and Charles Dixon Ingram.
She is survived by brothers Clifford Ingram and Lee Anthony Ingram and wife
Carrie, sister Mary Kathryn Wahl, sister-n-law Judy Ingram, and several nieces
and nephews.
Abbie will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and she will be fondly
remembered by the many in the area who are blessed to have Items in their homes -
pillows, drapes, dolls, etc.- that were made with love by Abbie.
A time of visitation will be held on Saturday. February 11, from 10:00-11:00AM at Evans-McDonald Funeral Home.
